Carbon compensated products

TFG Marine customers can minimise and offset compensate for the carbon emissions generated by impact of their marine fuel purchases by contributing to climate action projects that reduce or remove carbon from the atmosphere including forestry and renewable energy build-out.

Through Trafigura’s portfolio of carbon projects, all verified by leading registries, customers can choose scope of the fuel emissions footprint they would like to offset and report the claim accordingly. The process for supply of offsets with delivery is simplified as an added value service with a performance clause added to the contract. Offsets are then bundled with the cargo and added to the unit price as a premium. Upon delivery, offsets are retired on customers’ behalf.
