IBIA Annual Convention in Athens

“Collaboration” to achieve greater efficiencies, drive innovation, reduce environmental impacts and improve safety of operations was the main theme at this week’s IBIA Annual Convention in Athens. Calls championed by both IBIA Chairman Constantinos Capetanakis and Executive Chairman Alexander Prokopakis.

Speaking on the Bunker Sellers panel at the event, our Global Head of Bunkering, Kenneth Dam, also echoed the importance of collaboration and expressed optimism about the positive momentum IBIA’s newly launched European Regional Board will bring to the bunkering industry.

“With the establishment of IBIA’s European Regional Board and the exceptional calibre, quality, and diversity of its members, we are confident that the IBIA will continue advancing the agenda for European port authorities to prioritise their focus on transparency, health and safety, digitalisation, and the mandatory adoption of mass flow meters across all ports,” he said.
